Pinball being played on Neon Game Cave

About Pinball

Free pinball with five tables: Neon Drive, Haunted Manor, Star Station, Dragon Keep and Pixel Arcade. Every table has its own story, its own toy — like a real loop-the-loop ramp — and its own way to multiball and big points.

Play in a flat 2D view or in full 3D. Your best ten scores on each table are kept on your device.

How to play Pinball

Goal

Keep the ball in play with the flippers and score as many points as you can with 3 balls. Every table has its own story, its own toy and its own way to big points. Your best 10 scores on each table are kept on this device.

The five tables

  • 🌆 Neon Drive — A synthwave city at night. Loop the loop to build your speed, then race the garage for Turbo Multiball. Only on this table: a real loop-the-loop ramp — hit it hard enough and the ball goes right round.
  • 👻 Haunted Manor — A manor on the hill at midnight. Catch the ghost to open the trapdoor, and climb the Grand Staircase until the clock strikes twelve. Only on this table: a ghost drifts round the middle of the table — it shoves the ball away, and now and then it fades so the ball passes straight through it. Catch it five times and a trapdoor opens in the floor.
  • 🪐 Star Station — A space station on the edge of a black hole. Count down to lift-off, ride the Orbit Rail round the whole table, and switch the gravity off. Only on this table: the black hole in the middle is a real magnet — it always bends the ball a little, and when it's lit it swallows the ball, spins it and throws it out somewhere new. Climb the Gravity Ramp for Zero-G, when the ball floats.
  • 🐉 Dragon Keep — A castle in the mountains and the dragon that guards its gold. Wear the dragon down, knock in the gate and storm its lair. Only on this table: the dragon fights back — it paces in front of its lair, swats the ball away and breathes fire down the table — and the Tower is a mini-table up top with its own flipper.
  • 👾 Pixel Arcade — An 8-bit arcade. Level up, light the coin slot and play a game inside the game. Only on this table: a spinning disc in the middle grabs the ball and flings it sideways (in Glitch mode it spins hard and switches direction), and the coin slot starts a brick-breaker video mode on the score display, played with the flipper buttons.

Controls

  • Keyboard: Z or ← or left Shift — left flipper; / or → or right Shift — right flipper. Hold Space (or ↓) to pull the plunger back and let go to launch — the longer you hold, the harder the shot. N or ↑ nudges the table (X and . nudge it sideways). P pauses, V switches flat/3D, T turns the music on or off.
  • Touch: tap and hold the left or right half of the table for that flipper. When a ball is waiting in the shooter lane, hold the right half to pull the plunger and let go to launch. SHAKE nudges the table.
  • Game controller: the shoulder buttons or triggers flip, A launches, B nudges, Start pauses.
  • 2D / 3D (top right) switches between the flat table and the 3D one. Phones start flat; big screens start in 3D.

Things every table has

  • Skill shot: a lane at the top blinks when you launch. Roll through it within a few seconds for a big award (Dragon Keep's skill shot is hitting the dragon straight after the launch).
  • Ball save: for the first seconds after a launch (and at the start of a multiball), a ball that drains comes straight back. The AGAIN light blinks while it's on.
  • Multiball: each table has a way to start a 3-ball multiball. While it's on, the JACKPOT lights move between two shots — every third jackpot lights a super jackpot.
  • Combos: hit two different big shots within 3 seconds of each other for a combo award.
  • Bonus: lanes, targets and ramps add to your bonus, which is counted at the end of each ball and multiplied by the bonus X (up to 5X).
  • Extra balls are lit by finishing things on each table — shoot the lit star to collect them.
  • Nudging: a shake can save a ball heading for an outlane — but shake too much and you get two warnings, then TILT: the flippers die and you lose that ball's bonus.
  • If the ball ever gets stuck, the table shakes itself loose (and in the end gives you a new ball).

Tips

  • Catch the ball: hold a flipper up and let the ball roll down onto it and stop — then you can aim.
  • Shots are aimed by when you flip: early sends the ball across the table, late sends it up the near side.
  • Watch the display — it tells you what's lit and what to shoot next.
