About Pub Quiz
Pub Quiz is a free trivia game with 7,500 checked questions in 46 categories — from general knowledge, film and music to history, science, sport and food. Every quiz is 30 multiple-choice questions in five rounds, and quick right answers score the most.
Pick a level from very easy to expert or climb the ladder, spin the category wheel, choose your own topic, or take the Daily Quiz that everyone gets. Play solo with lifelines, pass one device round the room, or take on up to five friends online — or the computer.

How to play Pub Quiz
Goal
Answer 30 questions in 5 rounds of 6. Each question has four answers — tap the right one before the 20-second clock runs out. The faster you answer, the more points you get.
Four kinds of quiz
- 🍺 Standard — questions from all 46 categories. Pick a level, or 🪜 Ladder: round 1 very easy, rising to expert in round 5.
- 🎡 Spin Quiz — before each round a wheel picks the category. The rounds climb from very easy to expert.
- 📚 Chosen category — all 30 questions from one category you pick (film, sport, space, history…), at the level you pick.
- 📅 Daily Quiz — the same 30 Ladder questions for everyone today. A new quiz every day.
Ways to play
- 🧠 Solo — just you. Your best scores are kept, and signed-in players go on the leaderboards.
- 🍻 Same screen — 2 to 6 people share one phone, tablet or computer. Type your names and take turns: the game tells you whose turn it is, so pass the device round.
- ⚔️ Battle — 2 to 6 players get the same question at the same moment. Challenge a player from the lobby, press 👥 Open a table for a group, or play ⚔️ vs 1–5 🤖 computer quizzers (from Newcomer to Mastermind).
Scoring
- A right answer is worth 100 × the level (very easy 1 … expert 5).
- Speed: up to double for answering straight away — the points shrink as the clock runs down.
- Streak: every right answer in a row adds 10 % more (up to +50 %). A wrong answer starts it again.
- Wrong, or out of time: no points.
Lifelines (Solo)
You get each of these once per quiz:
- 50:50 — two wrong answers disappear.
- Skip — swap the question for another one of the same level. It doesn't count as wrong.
- +10 s — 30 seconds for this question instead of 20.
Same screen: steals
Get it wrong (or run out of time) and the next player gets 10 seconds to steal it for half points. Everyone gets the same number of questions.
Spin Quiz
Solo: press SPIN. With friends, whoever is last spins the wheel (it spins by itself after 8 seconds). Where it stops is fair — nobody can aim it.
Daily Quiz
Only your first finished try each day counts for the daily leaderboard. Play it again as much as you like for practice.
No repeats
Solo and Same screen remember the questions this device has shown and pick new ones first. When a category runs out, it starts over.
Tips
- On a computer, press 1–4 or A–D to answer.
- Speed matters, but a wrong answer breaks your streak — don't guess too soon.
- Save Skip and 50:50 for the hard rounds at the end of a Ladder.

Can I play Pub Quiz on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Pub Quiz runs in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers, so there's no app to install. You can add Neon Game Cave to your home screen to open it like an app.
Do I need an account to play Pub Quiz?
No. You can play straight away as a guest. Signing in with Google is optional — it keeps your games safe in the cloud and, in games with leaderboards, puts your best scores on them.
