About Futron
Futron is a 3D light-cycle battle. Your cycle leaves a wall of light wherever it goes — hit any wall and you are out. Cut off your rivals, survive the longest and win the round.
Pick a small, medium or large arena, normal or fast speed, and race the computer or up to four players online. Play it in 3D behind your bike, or from a drone high overhead.
How to play Futron
Goal
Ride a light cycle around the grid. It leaves a wall of light behind it everywhere it goes. Hit any wall — a trail, your own included, or the edge of the arena — and you're out. The last rider still moving wins the round; win enough rounds to take the match.
Controls
- Phone / tablet: turn your phone sideways. Tap the left half of the screen to turn left and the right half to turn right — the bottom part turns once, the top part makes a U-turn (two turns in a row, as tight as you can turn).
- Computer: turn left with ←, A or Z, U-turn left with X; turn right with →, D or M, U-turn right with N. C switches the camera, T music on/off, P pauses (games against the computer).
- Turns are always left or right of the way you're going — your cycle can't stop or reverse. A U-turn takes you back the way you came, one lane over. (Two quick taps of the same turn do the same.)
Tricks
- Grinding: ride close alongside any wall and your cycle speeds up (the speed bar glows). It's risky — and it's how you get ahead.
- Cut them off: get in front of a rival and turn across their path.
- Leave yourself room: don't drive into a pocket you can't get out of.
- After a minute and a half, everyone gets faster every 15 seconds — rounds always end.
Playing
- vs computer: race 1 to 3 computer riders, from Rookie to Legend.
- Online: challenge a friend, or open a table for up to 4 riders. Add computer riders to fill the grid.
- The camera follows your cycle (🎥 Chase). Tap the camera button (or C) for Wide (🔭, further back so you see more of the arena), the overhead view (🗺️, the whole arena) and Drone (🚁, high above your cycle and turning with it, so you always ride up the screen — left and right stay your left and right). The minimap in the corner shows the whole arena (with Drone, it turns with you too).
- Looks (🎨 → Game boards): Neon, Void, Daylight and Synthwave race light cycles; Street races motorbikes on tarmac.
- 🎵 switches the soundtrack on or off — engine and crash sounds stay on.
- When you crash, the camera follows a rider who's still in. A crashed rider's trail fades away after a moment (or stays, if you choose).

Is Futron free to play?
Yes. Futron on Neon Game Cave is completely free — there's nothing to download and you don't need to sign up.
How do I play Futron with a friend online?
Open the Game Cave and challenge your friend from the Players online list in the lobby, or open a table for up to 4 players. To be sure you find each other, share a chat room code first — friends in a chat room also get free text chat during the game.
Can I play Futron on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Futron runs in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers, so there's no app to install. You can add Neon Game Cave to your home screen to open it like an app.
Do I need an account to play Futron?
No. You can play straight away as a guest. Signing in with Google is optional — it keeps your games safe in the cloud and, in games with leaderboards, puts your best scores on them.
